Event Space Available
Thank you for considering the event spaces of Jefferson County Greenways (JCG) for your upcoming event! We exist to preserve and care for Red Mountain Park, Ruffner Mountain, and Turkey Creek Nature Preserve as sanctuaries for our neighbors, native plants, and animals. Therefore, we aim to align our facilities' use with initiatives that support our mission and community and maximize staff resources across all of our green spaces.
Request Event Space
Ready to host your event at one of our beautiful greenspaces? Click below to submit your request and check availability. Please note that submitting a request doesn’t guarantee availability, but allows us to confirm your preferred date and staff support.
Please allow up to ten (10) business days at minimum for approval of your request, however, thirty (30) days or more will enhance our ability to approve and provide support for your request. For more information, email info@jeffcogreenways.org.
Red Mountain Park
Red Mountain Park offers a variety of areas for organized trail races and scenic spaces for gatherings. We will work with you to ensure your event has the needed support for success. Please let us know the nature of your event when you submit your request to ensure the right services are provided.
Ruffner Mountain
Meeting Room in Ruffner Mountain Nature Center
The Nature Center’s meeting room offers approximately 800 sq. ft. of space and comfortably accommodates up to 40 people. It’s the perfect setting for small gatherings, with stunning views of the park. The room is equipped with tables, chairs, Wi-Fi, and a large display monitor. It is available Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Note: Beginning March 2025, the Nature Center will be undergoing construction and unavailable for use until after the work is completed. Updates will be posted on this page.
Pavilion at Ruffner Mountain
The Pavilion at Ruffner Mountain is available on a first-come, first-served basis for small gatherings of up to 20 people. This covered area features picnic tables, benches, and access to vending machines and restrooms, providing a comfortable spot to rest during your visit.
