The passionate team behind Jefferson County Greenways includes dedicated staff and members of the Jefferson County Greenways Commission and Foundation—all united by one mission: to preserve and care for these greenspaces as sanctuaries for our neighbors, native plants, and animals. With over 3000 acres of forest, critical waterways, wetlands, and other distinct ecosystems across Red Mountain Park, Ruffner Mountain, and Turkey Creek Nature Preserve, we work to ensure these natural treasures remain safe, accessible, and ready for all to enjoy.
